Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What does Cobb Faith Partnership do?

Cobb Faith Partnership (CFP) develops avenues for coordinating outreach and creating partnerships among churches and Faith-Based Ministries in Cobb County, GA.  We encourage cooperation among all Cobb-based ministries by providing tools to facilitate communication and collaboration. In doing such, we strive to become effective stewards of our God-given resources by communicating, connecting, and promoting our faith-based ministries.  We see ourselves as a "information clearinghouse" for Cobb County Faith-Based ministries - a "trade association" of sorts.

How does Cobb Faith Partnership Work?

CFP accomplishes the above through these 4 main activities:

  • Networking Opportunities via regularly scheduled General Meetings, Georgraphic Team Meetings and other special events.
  • Educational Events via special gatherings such as our "Small Ministries Making a Big Difference" forum.
  • Communications via Email broadcasts and up-to-date Website information
  • Resource & Referral via Member Services Listing and Website resources - FREE to all CFP Members

When do we meet?

All CFP General Meetings are held the 4th Wednesday in January, March, May, July and September (details will be posted in the Website Calendar as well as listed in our Discussion Forum).  Our Annual Meeting & Holiday Celebration is held in December.  CFP also encourages members to join one or more of our Geographic Teams and attend their meetings.

Why is Cobb Faith Partnership Needed?

A recent survey of Cobb-based churches and Faith-Based Organizations emphasizes the need for cooperation in providing community outreach among themselves and other non-profit organizations.  With an awareness of increased community need along with a decline in available resources, Churches, Faith-Based Organizations and Nonprofits are realizing the need to step up efforts to work together in order to (1) avoid duplication and waste and (2) to effectively provide community outreach in the most efficient manner.
