Fund Raising

Currently Cobb Faith Partnership has several fund raising projects underway to support our Penny Drive:

Cobb Faith Partnership is in America's Giving Challenge
- Let's Win $50,000!

To all CFP supporters on FaceBook - please help support CFP by donating at least $10 and by encouraging your friends to donate at least $10 as well:

Hi everyone,

Our cause just entered in America's Giving Challenge, which gives us a chance to win $50,000!

Please donate today:
http://www.causes.com/donations/select_donation_method?m=103f46b4&cause_id=179298

To win, between now and November 7th we have to get the most donations to our cause (every person can donate once per day and have it count as a unique donation). We can also win daily awards of $1,000 and $500 if we can get the most people to donate in any 24-hour period. The great thing about this Challenge is that it doesn't matter how much you give, but instead how much you do to encourage friends and family to get involved in our cause. We all need to come together and start promoting the cause if we want to win.

Each of us has tons of friends on Facebook who we can ask to donate to our cause. But let's think big too—can you put our cause in your email signature, can you throw a party and get people to donate through the cause when they enter, can you organize other people to go out and fundraise from all of their friends? As you reach out to your friends be sure to tell them why this cause matters to you. The possibilities are endless so let's talk about what we can do to win on the Wall of the cause or by replying to this bulletin.

I think we can do it! But it's going to take all of us. Check out the Giving Challenge (
www.causes.com?m=103f46b4), then visit our cause to see how we're doing so far and get involved.

Donate right now by going to

Let's win $50,000 for our cause!

Use Our Special GoodSearch link and not spend a penny! http://www.goodsearch.com/?charityid=871580 We've actually received 2 checks from GoodSearch which has been paying on average about a penny per search. Save this link and use it when you search for information on the Internet. The more you search using this link, the more $$$ CFP earns!

Help us Collect "One Million Pennies" for CFP
See below how you, your church or civic group, Scout troops, etc. can get involved in helping us collect One Million Pennies (or the equivalent of $10,000).  Will you help us reach our goal by bringing your unwanted small change (or dollars) to help support CFP events & projects as well as to hire a staff person to run day-to-day activities?  Currently, we have raised just over $6,000.00 through this Penny Drive, so thanks to each of you for your generosity!

Belk Charity Sale
Twice a year, CFP participates in Belk Charity Sale Days. Donate $5 or more to CFP and you will receive a Belk Charity Day ticket good for admittance to their special early-bird sale! The dates are in Spring and Fall of each year. And CFP Organizational Members who qualify can receive tickets to sell in exchange for a donation. Contact CFP at info@cobbfaithpartnership

 PENNY DRIVE UPDATE:

Cobb Faith Partnership continues its quest to collect 1 million Pennies (or the $10,000 equivalent) throughout 2009. We will not give up our quest until our goal is met.

Thanks to all of you who have helped us reach the $6,000 mark, which is over 3/5 of the way towards our $10k goal. An updated list of contributers is posted at the end of this message. Yet, there are so many of you who have yet to contribute, so we want to give you the opportunity to participate...

*** Will you help us reach our goal of $10,000 this year?? ***

If each of you reading this note can give at least $30.00, we would easily reach our $10k fundraising goals and then some! Of course, we hope you will consider giving as you are led and as your financial situation allows.

One of our immediate goals this year is to update our website. We've been blessed this year to have had some excellent volunteers help us with a complete website overhaul, which is due for launch sometime this spring. Of course, the web hosting as well as the email management, costs money. We have found that, to have something that works and works well, we must spend some money.

To help support CFP in these efforts as well as providing financial resources for other networking and information-sharing events (such as our General Meetings, Team Meetings, and our annual Small Ministries event) and to eventually hire a Paid staff person to run day-to-day CFP operations, we need to raise these funds.

Your donation is an investment in the future of CFP, enabling us to continue connecting, communicating, and promoting faith-based outreach ministries in Cobb County. Since we do not currently charge member fees, we must rely on the generosity of our members and regular attenders to help support CFP initiatives and events.

Your contribution is tax-deductible IAW current IRS guidelines.

How You Can Help:

1. The easiest and quickest way is to Use Goodsearch.com

GoodSearch.com is a simple way to help Cobb Faith Partnership earn a penny every time you search the Internet... as well as earn a percentage of every purchase you make online!

GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates half its advertising reveune, about a penny per search, to the charities its users designate. Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the donations add up!

The best part of it is - Using the Search Feature, you do not have to spend any money to help CFP raise $$$!

Now if you shop online, you can also help CFP raise $$$...

GoodShop.com is a new online shopping mall which donates up to 37 percent of each purpose to your favorite cause! Hundreds of great stores include Amazon, Target, Gap, Best Buy, eBay, Macy's, and Barnes & Noble have teamed up with GoodShop and every time you place an order, you'll be supporting your favorite cause.

Just go to http://www.goodsearch.com and be sure to enter Cobb Faith Partnership as the charity you want to support.

2. Start collecting those pennies and small change NOW and bring them to any Cobb Faith Partnership-sponsored meeting or event.

Collect your pennies and small change, and get your family, friends, co-workers, Sunday School classes, Scout groups, etc. to do the same!

We will be responsible not only for taking them off your hands, but for cashing them in – thereby getting them back into circulation. PS: We will gladly accept nickels, dimes, quarters, dollar bills, or anything else that you can give to help us reach our goal.

3. The easiest and quickest way to contribute is through our special link with JustGive.org where you can make a secure contribution by Debit or Credit Card. For your convenience, we have included the JustGive.Org link here below:

4. You can also bring your donations to any CFP-Sponsored Event such as our upcoming CFP-SW Cobb Team Meeting April 14th or our next regularly scheduled General Meeting March 26th (see our WHATS NEW section of our home page for details).
